Anyone that has owned a Quaker parakeet knows what a special, loving and addictive bird they are. We fell in love with a 9 month old Quaker, Bobby Lee, who imitated my laugh when *another store* had him up for sale. He went home with us along with sketchy directives on how to care for him. We were looking for someone to take care of our baby when we went away on long vacations, staying at hotels that wouldn't allow him. They told us the mistakes we were making in diet, which we changed drastically, only to lose him last March,only 11 years old, probably from liver failure. Naturally,we were devastated.

Now the happier note. Having a good, informative source for our avian friends, we stopped in at Exotic Birds to see Mickey and Linda, who gave us their condolences, and mentioned they happened to have a new shipment of Quaker babies in the back room. It was so hard coming home to a quiet house, Bobby always greeted us when we came home. It was also hard to see the babies, they all look alike, so looking at a clone made us feel even worse about our loss. One of them clambered over the others like a B-52 bomber, and she appealed so much, we now have a new addition to our family, Bombardier.

We bought a new cage and all the other components that make a spoiled family addition happy, all right there in the store. All the preferable pellets and treats and information are available, everything conducive to a hopefully long and healthy life for her. The most reassuring thing is the fact they will board her when we go away, the biggest factor as to whether we have a good or bad vacation. The thing I really liked was when Linda asked how we spoiled her, so she could continue it,and I know she did, Bombardier took a while before she would come to us when we came home to pick her up. All I want to say is thank you for filling our void, having all necessary requirements available in your store,and taking such good care of our baby.

Hi Linda & Mickey,

Just wanted to drop you a note telling you how much we love our new baby ( blue & gold macaw ) we named him Babe, after Babe Ruth. We're not real sure, but we think he's the reason Boston won the pennant.

I'd like to thank both of you for all the help you've given us after the sale. Your advice and suggestions have been invaluable in helping us and Babe adjust to one another. Be assured that we will gladly send anyone in Boston looking for a bird your way. Keep up the good work, and keep those sweet babies coming.
